Default Nobody fishing Rayburn in 2017?

Or is everybody just tight lipped? Were are they? Only caught four keepers so far this year. Scattered, only a few on each brushpile. What is the deal guys?

I am not far from Rayburn, but since I live on Toledo Bend it's just too easy to stay here, lol! I still have not been yet this year!

ChuckTx's fishing buddy Bill now lives on Rayburn. The man knows how to fish - plus he makes a serious tator salad I might add. Chuck will post before long.

I fished Rayburn 3 days while I was down for the TB get together. I fish Wednesday and Thursday before event. Caught 6 Wednesday and 18 Thursday. Came back Sunday in wind. Nothing for first two hours and several brush piles later then 17 off one large BP. Finally got tired of fighting wind and called it a day.

Everything came off of one or two brush piles out of about 10 tried. Next day different BP. Had to keep moving until l I found them.

Wednesday and Thursday, fish staged in 12 foot water in creek beds. Sunday, fish about 14' in 20 foot of water on windy side of BP. Tried shallow, but not a bite. Someone said they were catching fish in grass at 6', but I had no luck trying that.

Everything caught off of feather jigs that I tie. Launched from San Augustine Park.
