Kevin, when I lived in Grapevine and worked in Las Colinas my favorite was Ray Roberts, by far.
I'm an avid crappie fisherman that recently relocated from Tulsa, OK. I have a boat and was wondering where the best crappie lake is around here.
I miss catching the big ones.

From my time in Las Colinas when my bride worked for Mr. Gates I fished a lot in a small power plant lake named North Lake just off S. Beltline Road. It has a public ramp and produced good crappie and great bass. If I wanted "big" water I went to Lewisville Lake. Lewisville Lake had a vastly greater variety of bottom and shore line.

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!
Lewisville, Lavon and Ray Roberts all produce quality and quantities of crappies.

Welcome to the board and Texas. I don't know much about the lakes up there, but know there are plenty of them and lots of crappie fishermen!
