Had a trip with Randy (from Alaska), Joel and Sam from Texas. Long story short I had no big motor on my boat. We only had the trolling motor to use. They still wanted to fish so off we went.

We arrived on the water at 0900 with water Temps at 55° and proceeded about 2 miles away from the ramp. Once there I hit the spot lock on the Motorguide and dropped the lines. Instantly poles were getting heavy. Sam (the 6 year old) caught the first and his first crappie at 13 1/2 inches.

As the day went on they caught around 26 keeper crappie and 20 under crappie along with a black bass and drum. It was a blast watching Sam reel in these fish with no problems at all. Off the water around 1300 cause Sam was tired, which is understandable. Good times!!
