Thread: Canyon 10/29/15

Caught on Canyon Lake, TX (10/29/15),these big crappie and bluegills were landed with minnows on Matzuo #2 red Sickle hooks and with Matzuo Sickle jig hooks tipped with soft plastics. This was the girl's (16 yrs old) first fishing experience and the boy's (11 yrs old) second time to fish. They caught over 30 bass and crappie and these are the ones kept. The largest white crappie was over 13 1/2" with very thick shoulders.



Although the big crappie fishing has really improved, the flooding on 10/30/15 muddied the lake with another 7' of water and put a damper on things for probably about a week.
