Good report. Good to hear your catchin
After being sidelined for almost three months because of hand and elbow surgery, I am on the area lakes again. I crappie fished Canyon Lake 6 times over the past two weeks and did very well each trip. I also fished Canyon, LBJ and Marble Falls lakes for bass and caught several in the 3# to 5# range. During the last couple weeks, the lake surface water temperatures have dropped from a high of 87.5 to a low of 81.2 yesterday. The winds have been light, mostly clear skies and daytime temperatures in the 90s to 100. Not what one considers prime catching weather.
The crappie are still holding on main lake points in 16' to 22'. Vertical jigging was the primary method but minnows were also used yesterday, along with jigs under slip bobbers. Minnows worked very well, but the fish were smaller. We caught very few undersized crappie over the past two weeks.

Are there any guides on Canyon Lake ? Just relocated from Charleston,SC and now that i have settled in getting that Crappie fishing or any type of fishing blues. LOL
talltiger2. I am a full time guide and fish the local lakes...Canyon more than most. My website is teachemtofish.net. Let me know if you want to schedule a trip for bass or crappie. The weather is getting much better for good catches. Thanks for responding.

Glad to hear you are back in action and on the fish.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Glad to hear you back from a surgery that sounds like a bit of a bad thing as usually they are, LOL!
