Can't help with the depth finder, but the crappies are starting up good in the Six Mile area. A buddy and I got 24 yesterday and 31 today. All nice big slabs. We were long lining in the Oak Hill area between 8 and 20 foot. They were scattered. We were using 1/16 chartreuse jig heads with a white/chartreuse curly tail grub. Didn't find them bedding up yet, but I hear some have.

Just curious, do you have a camp near 6 mile? I ask because I live on the water at 6 mile and see you had been fishing here. The crappie had started pretty good, but the last week or a little more has really changed it for now.

Nothing wrong with those - hope to get up there in mid-April and then again in mid-May for week at a time.

Oh okay, also know they were really doing well over on Housen, at least they were are one time. I need to get back out to see if they have settled down after all this cold weather.

Skip - hey buddy, you been back out after them or you working them fingers on the jigs? Sure hope the weather turns out great for the week of May 18th-24th when I come up that way. Been too long and I need my East Texas Toledo Bend fix BAD! However, come next Friday, I will have plenty of time to come that way and fish more since I will be retired with 28 years at TPWD. Looking forward to it.
