Default Lake fork fishing info and lodging

I am planning a few day trip to lake fork Texas. This is my first time going to this area and looking forward to it. I will be traveling from the Midwest to get out of this snow and ice for a min lol. I was wondering if anyone could give me a fishing report or any tips for this lake. Also any surrounding towns with motels for lodging or bait shops that some one might suggest. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yantis and Quitman area and in the middle of that is the Minnow Bucket. They are on Hwy 154 and close to Dam, and minnow bucket is 50 yds from state ramp. Their are a lot of places to stay around minnow bucket. I have been here all winter and it has been slow for me.

Thanks we fished most of the day today and ended up with a few. Going to try farther north tomorrow I think. We fished points by the dam area and the bridge by minnow bucket. Not a lot of action.

The 154 and 515 bridges are the best spots on Lake fork.....

I am from south Missouri and go to Lake Fork often. The area around the minnow bucket is great. Can also pick up anything you need there. great place to stay , plus good food. People there are very helpful.
