    Default Lake Houston getting busy

I drove by the Ponderosa marina on Wednesday and counted 17 trailers putting in. Are the crappie starting to bite or is it mostly white bass that everyone is chasing? Saw lots of boats fishing in the bayou. Anyone want to share what you are catching them on and how deep?

Not many white bass are being caught in the bayou yet, and haven't heard of a limit of crappie either but are catching a few crappie on jigs in 10-16' of water.

I caught 3 keeper crappie on Friday afternoon fishing in 20 ft of water. The fish were holding at about 12-16 ft. Caught them on live minnows on the north end of the lake.
