    Smile How deep??

I know you guys in Texas have some pretty warm summers. What is the deepest you fish and catch crappie? Here in Tennessee I catch fish as deep as 45' or 50' during the summer and winter months. Lately I've thought about trying deeper when the surface temp is near 90. Thanks for any input.

Ive seen them that deep in the winter out here, but typically in summer time(due to the thermocline) I see them more suspended in deeper water..They might be in 30-35 ' of water but only 12-20' down..

    Thumbs up

I usually catch fish all summer in 14-20 ft of water. They will be in deeper water but I do pretty good in brush and timber in that depth range..

Pretty much what he says until late July/August when it's just not fun anymore...

I don't know Zach.. I am one sick individual. It is always fun for me. July August last year, I was still catching fish at those depths and doing the best during the hottest part of the day! 2-3pm at the peak of the heat had the fish reallly tight to cover but the bigger ones were really hitting good. I had one day with 22 and 5 were 15"+..
