Lake Houston (Luce Bayou) update
Thumbs Up Fished two more times in the Bayou for the month of Feb. For all to Know [Pre-spawn is onHands Clapping] finding fish both shallow in about 2'to 4' and deep 8'to 10' most male in shalow with few fair female in deeper water . Most fish hitting chartruse color jigs with red head. Both times had at least one ,some times two 14" crappie . One caught shallow . The spawn is not far off ! :D

Thanks for the update. You fishing north or south of Ponderosa?

I mainly fish both directions . Most fish were caught North of Ponderosa . Bigger fish holding tight to structure .

fish yesterday 3-4-11 an lots of small crappie in shallows along with Bass maybe when the bass move out the shallows the Big Female crappie will move in my guess

Fished 3/7/11 with so many fronts comming through . temp. changes etc. Managed to get 6 crappie 2 white bass and 1 black bsaa . caught on road runners in 4' to 6' of water most were small males to 12" no big females yet .

the crappie really turning on just before dark with a lot of fish in the 13 to 14 inch stuff suspended over deep brush.

I`d like to give it a try Sunday Morning hope they`r in the shallows now with this warm water for the past week
