Anyone hearer live around Dallas FW? Looking for Crappie Barge info.

My son has no boat until at least next year and wants to take his new family fishing around the Dallas area so would like to find out anything I can for places to go.

Wish I could be helpful........but, worked all around the Dallas area, but never fished
any of the waters in that area. Since I retired, I can't find a reason to ever go back
to that area. Lake Lavon hold lots of crappie. Joe Pool holds lots of crappie & bass,
but I haven't fished either in over 15 years. Unaware of any fishin' barges, but that
ain't sayin' much. Hope someone can answer your questions and help your son find
a place to take his family.

RetiredRR I know what you mean as I just would hate to live anywhere near a big city. Couldn't stand that. I live on Toledo Bend and thankful that I do!

Also got on a different board and got lots of info, but also he talked to a neighbor and now they went this weekend night fishing. SO looks like he also got someone to fish with.

Lewisville Fishing Barge

They aren't always biting here but it's always fun. When I was a kid and the boat was broke down (which was most of the time ) my Dad and I fished here. I also took my little girl out there until we recently aquired a boat.

Don't hesitate to ask the guy at the front desk what they are biting on. The sell everything you need with the exception of a fishing license.
