    Default ky lake fishing update


    fishing is slow on ky lake. this cold front a few days ago seems to have slowed the bite down a little. we kept 25 today with two people. also the crappie are kinda acting strange. we were fishing with jigs and the crappie seemed to hit the jig and then swim up. i tried fishing shallower but did not get a bite. we fished 12 ft deep in 15 to 20 ft water. also tried shallower water but very slow. water temp was 53 on average surface temp.

    I fished there Friday with a friend and we brought home sixty went today and brought home six!

    I fished Saturday morning by myself, kept 28. Little brother went saturday afternoon, kept 15. We both fished sunday morning for a couple hours before we had to leave, and kept 17. Fished 10-12 in 14-15 ft. Slow trolling in mansard island area.

    I went Monday and brought home a limit. I went yesterday and brought home 17 before wind blew me off the lake.

    Finally got to go today. Caught 23 in 10 to 12 feet of water. We used minnows and jigs. They wanted anything with a minnow. Fished about 4 hours and worked up a mess of fish. Wind was not as bad as I would have thought would have been today. We fished Big Sandy.

    you fishing Big sandy?

    Couple guys getting a few at Pumphouse.

    Also a few in flats around mansard Island.

    Keep us posted..

    Gonna be there Sunday, looking for a place to start looking..
