Try fishing in the middle of the river about 40-45 feet deep using 1/100 oz.pink and chartruese road runners tipped with corn and red wigglers. This should do you well. As for me I will be in our normal spots.

    Maverick,

I haven't been but I believe I can do a little better than that. How are you going to be fishing? These cooler temps. should be moving the fish back into the creeks. The whites should be in the 8"-10" of water on brushpiles or structure. That's where I would start and move out to 10-12 if need be. The blacks should be in the skinny water now. Shallow stumps fields and stake beds would be where I would be fishing if I were to go shallow. Casting a roadrunner is an excellent way to pinpoint fish. I use this method and then switch to a boober and jig or pull out the spider.

Like I said I haven't been able to get on the water much but from what I'm hearing, this where I would start.

Hopefully someone will provide you with more than a theory. :D

Thanks Hound I think I will try your advice first and hopefully I don't get desperate enough to try slimey's advice.

Just in case I stopped by Bass Pro and got some 1/100 oz.pink and chartreuse road runners, corn, and red wigglers. :D

It should be a nice day on the water none the less.

Might want to pick up a tubby tub of chicken livers if you're going to fish in those rich fish infested waters. :D

I may have to go to the river after I get out of school @ 2:30. Won't leave me much time.

The guy is looking for some help. I may not have the right answers but atleast I'm genuinely trying to help. If I was able to fish, believe me...I WOULD know where the fish are hanging out. Wouldn't take me but a couple of hrs. to find em'. :D

    What are you talking about?...
not 39 or 46' like the man said

By the way "the man" just so happens to be some 80 year old man that insists we are using the wrong bait if we use anything besides red wigglers..If you must know...

If you must know...that is what most people call me. What a coincidence. Didn't know that I had stepped in on you two playfully bantering between one another. Next time I will not post when you are asking for help.
