Before you go to the trouble to change all the line try using some of the spray that helps reduce line memory. I have some of the 6# on several of my reels and have used the spray and it helps a bunch. Course, maybe I inhaled the stuff and don't remember what happened. Seriously, the stuff has really helped my line including the braided that I use.

Hers my two cents worth I started using Mr. Crappie 6lb and 4lb hi vis this spring caught around 85 slabs this spring. In the last mounth still using the same line in four trips out I have caught about 150 bass and that hi vis has not let me down yet that is some of the strongest line you cannot break it.Just try spraying your reels with real magic it really works good luck.

I tried hi vis Vicious and it was real visible but it is too stiff feeling. I changed back to trusty VANISH 6lbs. test.

I use down here in La, and i have no problems with it either i was concerned about it being to bright but i don't think the fish can see it that well, in my lakes down here i once did live in Tn. actually my entire life until i joined teh airforce. but anyways i think it is a very reliable line.

    Default Mr.Crappie Supr Vis Line

Good fishing line, i personally use this line, especially durring low light conditions and shooting docks. Ican stay in constant contact with my line and see the strike even way back under those docks were crappie will congragate. I use the 4lb with a set drag and jig also try the Mr.Crappie camo line its good as well, during ice fishing conditions or exstreme cold water temps(Ice) Havent tried that yet. As far as the p-line it is a leading brand of line, well worth its weight truth is most lines are made in Germany imported into good ol USA! Stiener i think.

Is that Reel Magic really any count? I have seen it in the store and thought it was just another Bass Pro Shops gimmick. I might give it a shot. It's cheaper than buying Suffix or P-Line for all my poles. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Q???---Have any of you all ever placed a new spool of line in warm water and then spooled it on your reels? Seems like i read or heard this helps with memory.

Danny, I have not yet tried Reel Magic. I'm gonna try some next time I fish though. Might as well give it a shot before I replace the line alltogether.

I live over in East Nashville near the intersection of Briley Parkway and Gallatin Road. I generally put in at on the Old Hickory side of the lake at either Old Hickory Marina or Schutes Branch, which is pretty much right across from Sanders Ferry. Sometimes I put in over at Station Camp (I like those deep water docks - so do the crappie :D). I have been night fishing quite a bit here lately because the lake gets so crazy during the day and also because the fish have been so lethargic. Do you night fish at all?
