    Wink douglas crappie night bite

hey guys im new to this forum but not to crappie fishing i have had great luck at douglas over last 10 years but with that being said i would like to try to get good at night fishing. i have read articles about night fishing but would like to hear from someone who has done it with success on douglas or nearby lake as to what time of year is best and what kind of setup you use and if creek channels are best or coves

hope to see some of you on douglas maybe this weekend and will be there 4-2-08 thru 4-7-08 for my yearly vacation

scrappie daddy, welcome to the board. I am pretty new to the board as well, but also like you, not new to crappie. I was also wanting to try my hand at night fishing and these guys on here helped me out big time. There are some very experienced guys on here with plenty of valuable advice. I don't have any specific advice on Douglas, but here is a link to a recent thread on night fishing. Good luck out there.

the nite bite starts as early as you can stand the cold nite area try fishing the bluffs ans creek and river channels we normally put out a couple of the submersible lights and
use either a lantern to see by or a 12 volt clamp on shop light most of the night fishing that goes on on douglas starts in late june early july time frame i have gone in early may and done real good hope this helps

I hope to go to Douglas after work with my wife. It may turn into a night stalk depending on how late my wife is willing to stay. I will let you all know how I did tomorrow.
