    Default Trolling Motor help

    All,
Yesterday I was using my trolling motor and it just slowed to nothing all of the sudden. Battery still charged, power head still turns but prop won't spin. After I got home I took the prop off to see if there was something tangled but there was nothing. When you turn it on it just clicks. It is a Minn Kota Power Drive 54 lb thrust pontoon trolling motor. I bought the boat off of a friend and I think the trolling motor is only about 2 years old. Anybody else had this problem? Any suggestions?

I would guess the circuit board is toast.

    Unhappy

That would be my luck!! I had finally gotten enough stuff together to try doing some spider rigging. Got another depth finder and hooked up the transducer to the trolling motor etc.. I suppose I will have to figure out how to take it off and see if it can be fixed.

Not sure where you are located, but there is an authorized service dealer in Lenoir City. He is a nice guy. If you go to MK website and search for dealers, there may be one closer to you.

Appreciate the intel Charger. I found one about 11 miles from me in White Bluff. I found out from my friend that the thing isn't even 2 years old. I hope they will stand behind their product.

    Default Minn Kota service

I bought a Powerdrive 40 for my old boat and it died after only a couple of months. I took it to Grizzly Jig for authorized service and they did great. NO COMPLAINTS on Minn Kota warranty service work.

had problems with my power drive bout 3 yrs old , it turned out to be my co pilot attached, unhooked it and no problems. i did burn out a circuit board last spring too. got caught in mud but it wouldn't do anything after it burned up. Grizzly jigs fixed it great while i waited cudos to the folks up in carruthersville

    Default minn kota pd40

I have a pd40 and my momentary button on the pedal doesn't work right when it's real cold. I know I can replace it, and all that, just wondered if anybody had a good one they would sell.
