Default First trip to Dale Hollow. Info needed.

I’m taking my wife to Dale Hollow early June for a few days. We will be pulling boards and cranks (as usual). Any info on general areas we might tangle with some crappie, walleyes,or even trout? PM me if you don’t want public eyes.

Only trout you're likely to catch in June on the lake is if you fish the bluffs at night. Of course you're going to be running boards so you might get on a few. Used to fish the lake a lot when I lived in TN. My cutoff for fishing was always no fishing after Memorial Day. So much pleasure boat traffic on that lake it is crazy. And yeah I know folks do it but it can be brutal fishing during the summer. Used to fish for the Smallies at night in the summer not because they would not bite in the day time but because of boat traffic. Best of luck.

Alpha, your warning about pleasure boaters rang true. They ruined our trip. Couldn’t fish anywhere without literally being terrorized by them. We loved the lake, just not between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

We did hook 5 trout by the dam one morning trolling Off Shore Tadpoles but my rods were too heavy action for them. Jumped all 5 off.
