Yesterday was a dreary day all in all. Wind was calm water temps in a creek was 52. Long lining in the creek was the plan, a lot of bait, but no takers so we opted for a move. Ran out along the river delta did some trolling again, and just when we had all but given up accepting our skunking this day, we put two keeper crappie across the gunnel. And as we were headed back to the ramp getting ready to bring in our lines, we ran across a small pod of spotted bass. We put three across the gunnell ranging from 2 to 3 pounds, in rapid succession, saving the day of a skunking and boredom. John-Luke already by proxy catching em’.
