Started out a beautiful morning. As the day progressed clouds increased and the wind picked up out of the south. Enough of the weather reports, now on to the fishing. Over the last couple of trips I have been paying attention to water temperatures. Wednesday, I was mostly in Chester Frost scouting. Water temps in the 50’s on the river is 47-48. Today in Wolftever creek temps were 51-53, in the first 3rd of the creek. Lots of bait fish… So my little fish brain says they have to be transitioning into pre spawn. Myself and a couple other boats had the same idea. Long lining and spider rigging seem to be working for now. The fish have to be moving about. They don’t seem to be piled up in or on a particular cover. With that being said, was a good day in my book. Numbers weren’t stellar but good quality. And a great day to enjoy this day that God heath made.
