Got on the water just before daylight. We had rain over night, the sky was still clouded in and the wind was gusty and swirling. All in all not the greatest conditions to shoot docks in. Also for winter draw down the lake level has fallen about 3 feet from last week. I fished hard, chatted with the skunk while he enjoyed the cool morning, ran up river in search of more favorable conditions. It was 10:30 when the first fish came over the side of the boat. A nice 13" blacknose crappie. Name: 20231012_102504.jpg

Over the next hour and a half I put 14 more fish in the boat. 12 of the 15 fell victim to the new Bobby Garland Live Roam'R in Blue Ice. All fish came off of one dock. Name: 20231012_103542.jpg

They liked the profile of the Live Roam'R. I caught one fish off of a Slab HuntR, two fish off of a Crappie Magnet in a color similar to Blue Ice. The Original Baby Shad had no takers. All fish caught in 7' fow, deep in the shady recesses of the dock. The fish were in the lower 1/3 of the water column. All fish were returned to be caught another day. The survey boats were out shocking fish and recording results.
