Gary, aka Biofisher, and I had another stellar morning throwing BG crappie jigs in deep water just at the drop offs into really deep water. This is quickly becoming my favorite technique for summer time crappie success.

Most of our fish came from below 15 feet, probably closer to 20. TVA was running 22K cfs to begin with and stepped it up to 32K an hour after we started fishing between 6:30-7:00. Because of the increased flow, I started with 3/32 oz Curtis Hobbs Litewire jigs and stepped up to 1/8 oz after the flow increased.

I fished with Outlaw Special slab slayer and Gary caught fish on Blue Thunder, Bluegrass and the Outlaw Special. Much fun fishing as we were busy taking fish off every minute or two. I’m taking my son in law tomorrow morning, the Lord willing, and I’m going to fish in a different area of the lake. You may have trouble finding me. Lolol. I expect another limit tomorrow. Btw, my biggest fish was 1/16” short of 14”. Almost a tarp sized black crappie.

These crappie are destined for a man that is battling cancer and Gary is going to clean them and get them to him this weekend. I love doing this for people. I took home several yellow bass for me.
