    Default 6/24/23 roller coaster fishing

Got a late start yesterday, Yes, I was being lazy. I tried hitting a couple spots before it got too busy and had a few minutes of calm beauty in one of my favorite spots. No swinging in involved but a couple of light bumps. but it was nice. Had to try to make a wiring repair for trolling motor. got it working and enjoyed my solitude. Name: P1010466.jpg

Surface temp 77 when starting. Winds were light. Water was wet.
the water rockets started early. As I made my way to shoot a few docks traffic picked up. Fish were hiding deep. But trying to fish the drop offs and flats was not an option as the open water areas were just too busy.
Anyway, I worked my way down the row of docks and finally found one that had a hungry croppie.

I managed to ride the wave roller coaster and bring in a couple of little fellows before my wiring repair was undone by all the bouncing.

So to finish up this tale, fishing on a roller coaster is possible but not as fun. (My back still hurts)
I tell myself "It's their lake also." Bless their hearts! go fishing y'all.

I have caught them in two different areas of the lake. There must be more than I ever knew.

I would say they is. I don't know their preferred habitat. I have caught them while crappie fishing. They are in the walleye family. Tasty critters they are

Yeah, I completely understand. If I go this time of the year I make sure I am watching the sun come up and about the time I get roller coasted a few times it is hot, I am starting to get a mad on, and it is time to go! Then I arrive at the boat ramp and get to watch the circus! The circus at the boat ramp is always comical. I have often thought I would get me a sign made up that said for " for $10 bucks I will back you in and park. " I think a lot of folks would pay it.

Personally I don’t go to lakes like that unless before or after hours. Or winter.

I go when I have time. Will be looking for better times to go the rest of the summer for sure. I do better in the fall anyway. It seems Thanksgiving Day is my best catching day
