Some beautiful catches. Good job.
The weather has stabilized after the cold front and storms moved through on Sunday night so Biofisher and I had a pretty fair morning with the specks. We landed 10 nice keepers up to 13” and 10 shorts that were 1/4” short.
Water temp had fallen 3 degrees from Sunday am down to 79 this morning. Flow was the usual 10,400k and wind was almost calm. Most of our fish were caught 15 feet deep on Bobby garland bluegrass baby Shads.
One school of fish was on the main river channel and the other group of keepers and all the shorts came from a drop off 15’ at the edge to 25’ in the little ditch off the main river channel.

Great catches! I am hoping to retire soon and be able to hit the water during the week. Right now I have to try to get out before the party boats and bass tourny guys churn up the water not fussing (too much) lol. everybody's lake
Watching DK gives me hope that one day I can catch better.

Amen. I fish KY lake and have for the last 20 years. The pleasure boaters, ski doers, and the absolute worst wake boarding boats will simply run you off the lake after about 11. It it way worse today than it was 3-4 years ag. I do not understand why people that want to wake board do not go out on the main river channel and create their 4 ft waves... It is beyond frustrating when are trying to fish. I got swamped so bad that both of my feet were soaking wet and it almost knocked my partner out of the boat...

Mstr Dan, I fish so far off shore that I can’t even reach docks, trees, or even the occasional water chigger. In case you are wondering what a water chigger looks like, it is a motorized one, sometimes two person craft that has to run by you so close that you can admire them even though they have from 1/4 to 1/2 mile to go around you. Lolol.

I wonder if anyone make water chigger repellant.

I wanted to add something to this post that I had already talked about in previous post from last year or the year before. When I cleaned my 10 crappie this morning, there was nothing in the stomachs of all 10 fish. The moon phase was 27% waning crescent moon. Over the years I have noticed how reluctant the fish are to bite when we are not in a Full moon or New moon phase.
They are much easier to catch and have stomachs full of Shad or whatever they are feeding on in your lake during full/new moon phases and most are fasting during the waning or waxing stages of our monthly lunar cycles. I believe that is why the bite is more difficult during the off phases.
I’m sure that the Livescope people may have a different opinion and that is okay with me, but as all of you know that I don’t play video games on my boat while I am fishing. My reason for fishing is much more that just catching fish, if you get my drift. Heck, I don’t play and never have played video games in my home. Playing video games is a great way to destroy the family circle as no one is ever communicating with each other and we wonder how the heck our world is heading in the direction it is.
