Leave it to a cold front and dropping lake temps to knock a hole in the hot crappie bite. Two days ago with lake temp 63 and south wind, Phil and I caught a double limit of crappie by 10 am. Today with a cold front, temps at 61 and north wind at 9 mph, no clouds in the sky and the crappie bite very hard to come by.

We only had 11 crappie, a big bluegill and small yellow perch to show for our morning outing. We did get good pics though.
