    Default Slow crappie morning. 6/21/22

Biofisher and I had a 3 hour trip this morning in search of crappie. I did land 4 keepers (14”) but the catfish were as active as the crappie were. We landed a Channel catfish in the 3-4 pound range, a Blue catfish in the 5 pound range and a Flathead catfish in the 3 pound range.

All fish caught on 3/32 oz jigs with Bobby Garland baby Shad’s, Blue Ghost, Monkey Milk, Lights Out, and Pearl. 6 pound test Nanofil line and over 20 feet deep. Offshore mostly, but two catfish off a bluff.

First day of summer and it is getting hot. Water temp was 84.6 when we stopped fishing. This is above the Sequoia nuclear plant discharge. Water below the discharge was two degrees higher.
