Looking for assistance. Total rookie at intentionally catching crappie, always caught them with slip bobbers and live minnows.
I am taking a family trip to Gatlinburg area the last week of May. I am staying nearest to Lake Douglas. My intent is to try and catch some crappie with my two sons, the oldest being four going on 35. I wasn't objected to the idea of booking a charter, but after contacting several was informed it'll be too late in the year or they don't guide for them. So my intent is to shore fish and attempt to catch a few. Anything locals could offer for advice in terms of location, lures, etc would be greatly appreciated. I might be able to get him out once of twice on our trip, I live very far away, and my partner is four. This means attention span is fairly short, and the likelihood I will hammer someone'a honey hole is very low. Just looking to make some good memories with my boy, and I want to hook some crappie. There aren't many places in my home that have many. Thanks
I sent you a pm
