    Default WB tailwaters report 3/06/22

I’m finally back after being unable to log on for quite sometime. I changed my isp and forgot my password and had no way to communicate with Slab or any of the mods, so Cuonthelake was finally able to get me signed up as a new member. I am now drumking1. Lolol.

Biofisher and I hit the tailwaters for about 2.5 hours and had a fair morning. TVA was spilling 10 floodgates and running all turbines, so 62,000 cfs greeted us today.

we landed 3 Stripers, Biofisher had an absolute monster break his 20 lb braid after a two minute fight and stripping so much line that we had to fire up the big motor and try to chase it down. My guess is that the fish got around a rock pile that cut his braid.

Also landed 6 white bass, 1 Walleye and 2 of my pets. Alabama Smallmouth aka Drum. Lolol. The biggest white bass was 17” and weighed a whopping 2 lbs and 10 ozs.

Fish caught on Zoom super flukes and a 3” minnow type lure on 3/8 oz Shad head jigs that I pour and paint.

I came through there this morning about daylight on my way back to Michigan from Atlanta. I told vbottom I hadn't seen you on CDC in a while and wondered if all was well and if you had been to Watts Bar lately. I guess the answers are yes and yes. That combo in a 3/4 oz would work good on our Detroit River walleye. Just waiting on Lake St. Claire to break up and the ice flows to leave the river and we'll be after them. Gonna be a banner year!

    Those are some dandy fish!

I was wondering where you had gotten off too. Last you had posted you where fishing at the dam for Walleye and Sauger. I was wondering if that was you when I saw the name this morning. Good to have you back. Some very good catches there.
