Perseverance paid off.
Got back out today in the cold. Was 12 degrees this morn at 8. Decided to go about 10 and temp 24 or so. Got to the lake and about 98 % was covered with ice. Decided I was going fishing and put in. Slowly stared getting a little more open water as day went on. Wound up with maybe 15-20 acres open water about 3:00.
I managed to drag out a bass and a pickerel and one small crappie. At least not skunked.
