Accommodations are adequate at best at most places, but clean.

Depends on the wife though Volfan. Mine loves to fish and at times isn't ready to quit when I am. By far no expert either on reelfoot. Love to go there though. Been there i dunno over a half dozen times in the past 15 years I guess. I have learned a lot from this site. Just today I read where the lower basin warms up faster. Seems illogical to me since the lower is deeper.

Last year we had our best success in the beginning of April in Buck Basin. We didnt fish the lower basin however. Upper basin was slower than Buck Basin at that time. As far as resorts no expert there either. Seems most have upgraded over the years better boats, better motors nicer rooms. Personally I don't go there for the rooms but want a clean one is all. Personally I like the North side to stay on because its closer to areas that you can go to to get out of the wind. I usually go in March or early April went this year and was leaving foot the day that nasty cold front with freezing temps went through this spring.:D

I too like to make tentative plans that time of the year and watch the weather.
