I will be camping on Tims Ford at Fairview 11/11/21 and would like to bring my crappie boat. Just wondering if its worth the trouble to tow it over there. Im about 100 miles away and would have to make two trips to get camper and boat there. I love to troll but also have Live Scope on the boat for single poling. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
If you're going to be on Tims for any length of time go ahead and bring your boat. The water level will be down and make it easier to locate brush and docks holding fish. Tims has mostly blacknose crappie and isn't the best lake for trolling. You will be within 20 miles of Normandy lake and fifteen miles of Woods lake. Normandy is similar to Tims but smaller in size and can be very productive. Woods lends itself to trolling the river contours and flats and deep drops into trees toward the dam. It has a healthy population of white and black crappie. These make for great day trips. Each lake has unique features and are fun to fish. I hope you have a wonderful time. If I can help answer any questions, just let me know. Best of luck. Sam

If your camper is sturdy enough have you ever considered putting a hitch on the back of your camper and you could tow your camper and your boat at the same time.

'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
We just got the camper last month. its a TT not a 5th wheel and it does not have the hitch on the back. But yes i have seen that done and thought about it. I dont have the truck for it right now. Pulling with a F150 until the price comes down to earth on 3/4 tons. I will definitely consider it later. How is the law on that set up in TN??
