Default Indian Boundary Lake Campground or ?

I know this is should be in another forum, but I am going to ask since I will be fishing...
If you had a choice to camp with family boys 8 and 11, bikes, kayaks, float cats, etc. where would you camp within 100 miles of Knoxville. Im taking my crappie, some bass, and trout, spin and flyrods.

I have a reservation at Indian Boundary, but they don't stock trout in Tellico, bald, and north rivers aroud august to October.

Anyone ever fished Indian boundary lake? Im assuming its pounded by the campers, but maybe theirs some smart fish that I can fool?

Ive never fished Citco. Any small slab lakes around Cherohala Skyway?

Indian Boundary---fish under the branches in the shade very shallow or troll in the middle 10-15 ft down.

Pretty much any tributary of the Tellico from the split upstream will have native trout in it, however you must hike upstream. Bald and North should both have native trout in them, further from access points the better. Similar with Citico, hike a few miles upstream of the bridge (Citigo forks several times) and you should be in good water. Beware of bears though.

good camp ground that locks you in or out about 11:00 pm, was there on a 3 day deer hunt a few years ago, had to run back to Knoxville for a wedding, got back a little after 11:00 to find me and the wife locked out, went home and returned later for my camper. I refuse to be locked in or out any where unless I'm in jail

Yea, they close the gates at 10pm according to the site.

Bfish- THanks for the tips. Ive decided to scope out the lake with fish finder during the day and then at night drop a 10,000 lumens underwater light in the deepest holes. If there are any fish I should hopefully find them. I will report back next week.

I built one that was super bright years ago. Turned the water green in a 20 foot circle. Crappie bit really well as far as you could cast away from it. The shad would be so thick it lloked like you could walk across them. I do not know how many lumen it was. Best of luck to you. Post some photos of your catch so that those of us stuck at work can remember what a crappie looks like

Great lake and campground. The water was super clear and pounded by all the campers which I expected.. The mountain biking around the lake was awesome and beautiful skies great weather. We fished tellico briefly and my younger one caught his first trout. Good times, but no bent poles. I'm thinking of fishing and camping on the south Holston or watgua next. Any know of a good camp on those rivers?
