WOW at the bait! Is that a Great White under that bait ball??!
I didn't have to motor to far. I had some company on the next pilings over. So it wasn't so spooky. If I can find the right pontoon this winter I am going to turn it into a night time bridge stalker. Load up a couple of folks it's a lot less spooky.

If you are talking about the yellowish blur in the middle of the photos? From what I have been told that is water fleas. Whatever it is it was moving around on top of the water. That was one monster bait ball. Lake Guntersville was the only other place I have seen that much bait stacked up in one place. Should be awesome come cooler weather

Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

To me there is nothing more peaceful than night fishing or very early morning. For me it created a sense of "alone with the Universe".
As much as I would love doing it again my age would make it a little scary.
I admire your tenacity Jack in your search for our beloved Crappie and other brands of fish.
Best to you.

Nothing like sitting on a glass smooth lake while millions of minnows swirl under your light and millions of stars swirl around overhead. Throw in a shooting star or two and that makes for a perfect night.
