Thread: Good Crappie afternoon 2/25/21

I fished this afternoon with Candi, then alone, then Dr Phil. I started with Candi around noon and we fished 2.5 hours before she had to stop to take care of Daisy. She beat me like a bass drum.

Then I fished alone for an hour or so and was getting ready to call it a day when Phil called me and wanted to go fishing. I told him to come to Wolftever ramp and call me when he got there because I was catching fish at the time.

We fished until around 5:45 pm. Candi and I had 11 keepers plus a nice 2.2 lb bass that she caught. Then I added 3 more keepers when Phil called. Phil and I added 4 more keepers after that with Phil catching a nice 14.25” crappie. Other fish were a skipjack and a Warmouth bass.

Water temp in the creek was 56.7 degrees. I never made it out to the lake.
We fished with 1/24 oz jigs and chartreuse plastics. Candi fished with a double silver rainbow lure and beat me bad. Grin. I’m such a good guide.
