Jay wanted to go below Chickamauga dam and catch some bluegills, so we hit the water around 11:30 and fished until 2:30. He caught one 9” Bluegill and 3 more about 8” and some little ones, but he also caught a keeper crappie on a night crawler early on, so I didn’t fish for the gills. I threw a crappie magnet in a couple of different colors and began catching crappie and White bass.

I had a 2.25 pound spotted bass, a couple of short spots and one largemouth bass to go along with the crappie and bite bass. We landed 4 keeper crappie and I took 11 White bass home for the freezer since White bass are my favorite fish to eat. Water temp was 45 degrees.
