...On and off the river with 21 keepers and probably never had to fool with a single wakeboat or river lice Glad the fish finally made it back to deep water.
Dr Phil and I got out before daylight and was hoping to hit a bluff early, but when I turned my remote on, it immediately powered off, an indication of low battery power. I didn’t have the correct size Phillips screwdrivers in the boat to easily remove the screws. It took us well over 20 minutes to get the screws out with a too big Phillips. Replaced the batteries and began fishing. We lost almost 1/2 hour of fishing time.
But no crappie on the bluff so we went to my second spot and caught 8 keepers. Third spot yielded one keeper and a few shorts. Fourth spot was the Motherlode. We stopped fishing at our agreed upon stopping time with 21 total keepers. Sun was getting hot quickly and I don’t need anymore sun on my arms and face. I’m peeling like a snake anyway.
Water flow was 32,000 and surface temp ranged from 78.9 to 80.1, an increase of 10 degrees in a little over one week. Lures that were hot were Bobby Garland 2” baby Shad in Blue Thunder and a 2.25” BG Minnow Mind’R Silverfish. Fish were along a drop off from 15-25 feet. They were deep along the edge of the drop near brush. We used 3/32 oz jigs with the current as strong as it was. The month of June is not disappointing.

Great report!
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Very nice! Congrats on a fine mess of Crappie.
Life is good. Fishing is better.
