    Default Finally got out!

At my age, things are supposed to slow down instead of getting more hectic! I’m finishing up probate on my parent’s estate, which has been quite time consuming as well as sad. I inherited some property, and have been working to set up a little getaway. We had a pole barn built, and relocated our camper to it permanently.

I thought I was through with tractor work when I sold mine 14 years ago and moved to a subdivision. I was wrong!

Then we added to our family! At 60 years old, we welcomed our first grandchild. A boy! I fully intend to make him my outdoor companion in a few years!

Anyway, we got to go fishing yesterday! We found water that was pretty stained, borderline muddy. Water temps were between 49-52. The wind was howling, so finding sheltered areas was necessary. Finding sheltered areas that held fish was tough! I have never had good luck on a full moon, but we tried it anyway. When we found them, they were not tearing it up. Slab Sauce was not optional, and it definitely saved the day! Thanks, Slab! We kept enough for a meal, and I even managed a T.A.R.P.! I can’t wait to go again! Hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later!

Glad things are settling down for you a bit, enjoy the grandchild and the new getaway.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

    Nice post!
Glad you got a gkid to spoil!
I find tractor work soothing, as long as I don’t get stuck.

You better enjoy this slow period... Cause when that grand son gets bigger that's when things will really heat up! Better break out the tread mill and start practicing.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

Hey great to see you back out terrorizing the local finned fare. Got my first TARP of the year on Monday. Digging the tractor shot and the camper setup, plant you a little food plot out there for the four legged furry creatures and plan for Backstrap and Biscuits for breakfast in the Fall.

That plot was planted in September, and there is still some Backstrap left in the freezer! We are totally enjoying my first deer harvest!
