I finally got out on the water yesterday since the kids sports have took a break. I went down to Dale hollow .I knew the water was not going be ideal conditions but you have to go fishing when you can. However water was alot muddier than I thought. The fish were really scattered . I was long-lining and could never really lock in on any certain pattern. I will have to say Bobby Garland baby shad black/white was the definite color of the day with slab sauce of course. The water temp. Was around 52 when I got there it got as high as 54. Most fish were in 20' to 25' of water suspending around 10' was just marking a fish here and there nothing schooled. We ended up catching around 20 .We had 10 keepers to make the trip back all were 11-14 in. That will make a great first mess of the year. Also played with my new planer boards a little I have a lot to learn about those!! All in all great first trip out considering water conditions the day resulted in 1 tarp crappie and a nice mess of fish. Also that weather was decieving yesterday at times it was just cold.lol

Nice catch! Love catching the big ones!
Good catch, that is a great mess of fish on the table.
I too have not been out this year, but that is about to change. Can only hope I am as successful as you were. Great report.
Excellent report!

Nice ! Don’t be telling folks that those fish still bit in that muddy water ! Lol! You did good ! Congrats on a good day! I used to stay home when the water looked like that but found out a couple years ago that they still got to eat and it looks like you found some nice ones that wanted to cooperate!
That's a nice mess
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
