My good friend Jay W came down for a 4 hour cruise on the Tyner Lane shuttle and we did some crappie fishing as well. It was a sunny day with just a little wind that really wasn’t a problem.

We caught a lot of fish with 11 nice keepers to go home with me. One 13” bass that Jay thought was a big crappie until we saw him. Lots of short crappie played today too.

Current flow was 97,600 cfs and lake level is 677. Inflow is more than outflow for the next couple of days and predicted to be 678+ which is a couple feet above winter level for Chickamauga reservoir. Water temp a balmy 50.6 degrees. Fish caught today were mostly 15’ but we did get a couple on docks around 8-10 feet deep. Water also clearing up a bit.

Black/chartreuse Minnow Mind’Rs on 1/16 and 1/24 oz jig heads. Blue Ice caught a couple for Jay. Thanks for going with me today, Jay. We will repeat this soon.
