    Default Long Line

Got out on the water at about 8 this morning. They were calling for some off and on light rain today and I can say that was pretty close to accurate. I don’t remember them saying anything about a bone chilling breeze though. But once your there, what are ya gonna do?
    Fish! Right!
Considering the calender, I went away from the deep water verticle jigging this time and started to fish a bit more skinny.
Long lining 3 inch charlie brewer walleye sliders, I picked up a mixed bag of drum, white bass, and crappie. I think the watermelon color did the best. Oh and one lamprey that was hitching a ride on the back of one of the crappies.

Looking in the water, I saw where someone was nice enough to leave a marker buoy on a brush pile so that I would not get hung up in it. So nice of them! I marked it on my gps so I could remember where it was later on and avoid it.
    Smile. Your believing this right?

Heading on home, I keep a limit out of the 27 crappie caught. This time I had some for lunch and kept a few more for the freezer. The big girls went back in temporarily until after the spawn. Perhaps I will meet up with them once again.
You all have a Pantastic day!

Good catch, that misty rain today was indeed cold. I opted for getting a load of firewood in the basement for the colder weather that should be here now. 67 degrees forecast for Monday when I go back to work, go figure. That lamprey is a common sight on fish up this way also, especially in the Pigeon River. No Drum in the sink? :-)

No drum came to the sink or table. I did think about pickling the lamprey though. No not really.
I actually hadn't seen one in a few years.

    Pantastic trip!
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
