Slept in late this morning. Got up and drank a tall glass of coffee and put away a couple of sausage biscuits with just a touch of mustard. Mmm delicious. When the frost started melting off my windshield I went to hook up the boat and headed to watts bar. I like to get over that way every now and then. Got off the trailer at big springs around 10:15. Did some searching with the sonar for a bit just then headed to a familiar fishing spot. I was almost upon my spot when here comes a boat straight towards me just as fast as a trolling motor could take them. My first thought was what the heck are you doing? Suddenly I realized he was trying to beat me to the spot. Oh geez really? Headed on to a number of other spots. Nothing turning up but those ole yellow bass and a few drum. Back to watching the sonar and following contours. Located some deep cover in 27ft of water coming up to around 22. Verticle jigging a 3 1/2 inch bait, this area yielding two tarp crappie. One a 14 incher and another coming in at 14 1/2 inches. Fished a number of other dead areas before finding another school of fish. Many of these fish were small here but managed to get a limit of keepers before dark. Heading on home I stopped at the burger king and tried one of those impossible whoppers. Tasted like a whopper to me. Just costed a buck more. Livin Large

Good job, great report. Super nice slabs. But I say impossible that I'm ever gonna try an impostor whopper. You're braver than I am.

Great job on the fish. Not worth the hassle of arguing with a jerk over a fishing spot. You managed a good trip without the stress.
You on your own with the non beef burger, though.

I'm with you Slab. I've been on the Whole30 food plan since April. I've lost over 30# eating beef, fish, chicken and pork. I'm leary of manufactured and processed food.

i tried the fake Whopper one time just to see how it tastes. It was hard for me to tell the difference but I won’t have another. I really don’t want to eat fast food burgers. I cooked some hamburger sliders a few weeks ago with caramelized onions and a pickle. They were better than any I could get anywhere else. Grin.

Nice fish. But as far as the fake whopper I’ll pass. If all the veggie stuff was that good they would stop naming it after the real stuff.
