Great video. I don't think I have seen fish schooled up like that on Tellico. I thought all the really good summer fishing was on the Chick and am really surprised you caught them as you did (single pole) on Tellico. You motivated me to go scouting around Tellico yesterday, and I can certainly tell you were the fish were not located!
For everyone else, Matt also has a few other videos that I watched this afternoon. They are very informative. I subscribed and recommend you do as well.
Matt, you mentioned in the Tellico Video that you were planning to shoot docks before the thunderstorm hit. Yesterday, when you posted your video on dock shooting, you were on the Chick. You also stated that typically black crappie are found on docks. In my experience (and I am by no means a good fisherman), Tellico has mostly white crappie. Have you had good experience dock shooting on Tellico and catching black crappie?
Next, given fish on the docks are trying to stay in the shade, do you have much success catching them on docks in the morning? I expect dock shooting to be better in the afternoon, but in the summer, I like to fish in the morning and get off the lake by 11 AM. I like also like to get out of the heat.
Finally, thanks for the making the videos. I like to watch the videos from Richard Gene, but I'm really enjoying yours as they are on the nearby lakes.

JboyTN thank you for the reply. Glad you were able to get out and at least eliminate water. I was on the chick in my last video dock shooting. I have found that black Crappie prefer the docks, but I did say in the video whites will get on the docks to.
You are correct that Tellico is made up of mostly whites but don’t think there are not blacks in the lake. There are! I have had luck shooting docks on Tellico but the productive docks are more spread out across the lake than on the chick or Loudon.
As for fishing docks in the morning. I also prefer to fish early and docks can and will still be productive early. A lot of docks even have lights that will be lit at night attracting fish to them and once day breaks the fish will pull under the docks for shade and cooler water.
Thanks again for watching the videos and I appreciate the shout out. Hope this answers your questions and helps.
Great job, excellent video.
