It was a tough day for me on the water due to the wind. Boat control and speed variations were big issues for me today while trolling cranks.
I fished from 1-4 PM working a submerged creek in 20-35 feet of water. The fish were suspended in the 15-20 ft. range for the most part. I marked a few on brush and stumps but most were relating to the edges of the creek channel and/or bait schools. I only caught 3 fish. Two were crappie (14 and 13 inches) and one was a bass (17 inches). The bass gave a great three jump fight and really doubled over my 9' Southern Crappie Rod. When you have a lot of line out and a larger fish on the end trolling at 2 mph (give or take a little) it is really exciting for me. The rod did a fantastic job and I would recommend one to anybody looking for a new member in the arsenal.
I marked plenty of fish and bait but there were just not very many takers today. The water temp was 80 give or take a little depending on exact location.
Good luck out there, JayW

Not bad for the middle of the day with all that wind. I can only imagine. You did good.
Good job Jay...
