Anyone have a fishing report for crappie and gills and also a water conditions report would help. Heading down Sunday for my first time to the foot any info appreciated.
Thanks Bassky

Last weekend the water temp was in the mid 60's. Some crappie were caught along the shoreline in the grass and in the ditches but overall was very slow. I'm headed back tomorrow, not sure what the rain today is going to do to us.
We've had enough precip today the back of the lake (Kirby Pocket Area) will start getting muddy again.
Are you going to be jigging or trying to troll? If jigging I'd look at fishing around the mouth of the ditches where there is grass/lilly pads for crappie.
I picked up a few gills last weekend on the cypress trees, but were also slow. The gill bite should be getting better and better right now.
Bassky thanked you for this post
Will be jigging. Can't wait, hope the rain and high winds receded. Thanks for info. I will be in a red/silver Nitro out of cypress point resort.
I’ll be in a tan Lowe stinger 195. I’ll keep an eye out for ya Bassky. Good luck and be safe.
Haven’t done well. Sunday caught 6 gills 2crappie and 2 cats. Yesterday caught 12 gills, 1 crappie and 2 cats. Today am caugh 6 gills 1 crappie. We are struggling not too good.

In my opinion the lake hasn’t been very good since we got all the rain in March.

Hey Bassky, Kept my eye out for that red/silver nitro Sunday but didn't spot you.
What part of the lake have you been fishing?
I agree with Grumpy1, all the rain hasn't helped anything on the Lake. Water level has yo-yo'ed almost constantly.
I was trolling, ended up with 6 crappie on Saturday morning before the rain moved in, Sunday morning I fished till about noon and had 10 keeper fish. Certainly nothing to write home about.
