Well that didn't work... I have been reading your post for a few years and have finally joined. First let me say thanks to everyone for keeping this forum active. It has been a pleasure reading all your experiences and relating to your techniques. Considering all the information you have provided me, I must start with properly introducing myself. I have been fishing for 42 years since I was 5 for about everything. Grew up fishing for bass on fort Loudoun, flyfished for trout for 20+, caught musky and striper on giant skipjack for years and recently over the last 3 years turned my passion to crappie. A few years ago I came across this forum and have been enjoying it ever since. My wife's cousin passed away with the funeral in Memphis so I managed to make a sidetrip the trip to Reelfoot on Saturday. No guide, I like to figure things out on my own. That's the best part, right? Caught 3 catfish and 2 drum on a crappie plastic, forgot the name, I'm still learning all the various names... But what an amazing lake. Seems like the pressure is high, but the ecosystem is bound to produce some good bags. I live in Knoxville and fish all over Fort Loudon. Hopefully I will add some good stories to come as I have read from you. Thanks for sharing your post they are very entertaining. If I can figure out how to attach a photo from exactly this time last year I caught a mess full, 7-12 ft deep in watts bar below tellico dam. Chartreuse head white hair jig tipped with minner.
