    Default Pickwick help

Man I have learnt that you don’t plan a fishing trip to Pickwick Lake on a nice weekend!! There were boats everywhere today!! Caught one spotted bass today and that’s it. Fished Dry Creek and was gonna try Yellow till the boats ran me off the water. Probably gonna stay tomorrow until the rain runs us off. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to share. This place ain’t like the Tennessee River. Ain’t a stake bed to be found, and not a lot of brush piles that I can find. I did find a nice, I mean a Humminbird commercial nice brush pile right out of the mouth of yellow creek, but the dang fast boats wouldn’t let me fish it.

Pickwick is especially tough on the weekends with the lake lice. I only fish it during the week when I do go.

Well I finally found a few today until my trolling motor decided it has had enough. Not sure what’s wrong with it but I will check it out. Caught these in about 16-18’ water out from the boat ramp. Finally figured they wanted a fast moving bait and that’s when my trolling motor stopped.
