    Default Pickwick Lake

My wife and I are planning a trip on March 23-24 for my birthday weekend. Probably going to stay at the Inn, but may look at some VRBO properties as well. I was wondering if the flooding affected the lake part much? And if the water may be down by then?

The whole area in Hardin and Decatur counties is flooded. Pickwick is still pulling over 250,000 cfs of water thru the dam. More rain coming tonight. CRAPPIEThe crappie action is still a bit slow due to the dirty water, but a few anglers are having success. Anglers are finding fish from 10 – 15 feet of water, and possibly shallower due to the heavy stained water. Trolling jigs and crankbaits is a good technique to locate fish that haven’t started moving toward shallow water. Pre-spawn crappie should start showing up over the next few weeks.

So the lake part is flooded also? I knew the river part was,but haven’t heard much about the upper side around bounce and down to Yellow Creek.

Lot of current thru the dam. Lot of rain tonight and tomorrow. Next weeks weather OK for now. Bring warm clothes and rain gear. 409 is about normal this time of year.
