o.k. there Dickieboy...what I was saying was when the lake was originally built you couldn't hardly manuver around all the standing timber. What you see "now" on the lake is on a fraction of what was there originally.

I did not say there wasn't any just less than there was orginally. If you don't believe that just go out for one day and COUNT the stumps or rather trees that have broken off a top of the water...hey just count the ones you get hung up on, that will suffice.

There are crappie there but the retired guys that fish the lake all the time will tell you that they run fairly small. I try and talk to one of them and see if this year has produced any bigger fish.

Dickieboy is correct about the green carp delima. Your'e going to catch em' if you want to or not.

    Dickieboy...you tried Browns Creek Lake???

VONNA...Still haven't got my maps, UGGGGHHH!

Hey, CH dont get upset. I am only fully agreeing with you. I only know of how it has been in the last 10 years. I CANT imagine what it was like when first formed. And YES I know exactly what you mean about getting hung up. I have on two occasions thought I was going to have to get out of the boat. Only after cranking my 90hp up to WFO did i get off those @(&#$@ tops.

I used to talk to the Freeman guy who was very tight lipped about where and how to catch crappie. He always did do very well.

Yes, I have fished Browns a bunch and Maple a couple of times. Put a few condos in Browns and plan to put in more. I mostly flyfish for bluegills there once the big water gets covered up with PWC's and such. Up until last year it could not be beat for BIG gills. But last year I found three nice beds on Graham and did real well. But since we moved to CG I won't go back.

You can fish Glen Springs Lake if you like catching 9.5 in crappie. Plenty of timber.

Oh...I'm not upset. If I was I would PM ya and talk to ya about in private. I am interested in your statement concerning Brown's. Do you have quite a few condos there? I'm planning on dropping some myself. Maybe you could PM me and tell me where yours are so that I can drop mine in a different spot. Hey!...we can share, novel idea I know. Just PM me and we can discuss it. I have a GPS so I can give you coordinates to mine.

Just a thought no problem if this isn't something you want to consider.

    The CH...

Thanks everyone. I am just looking at finding smaller waters to fish. And some that I don't' have to watch out for all the big boat waves and water flees.
Thanks again. And I may just have to fish the one north of Jackson.
