Default Riding in the new boat 8/22/18

Today was the day that I got to ride in cuonthelake’s new boat. Grin. She even insisted that I drive it some. She told me to run wot for about a minute. That boat will scoot.

Of of course she told me to bring a crappie rod when I met her at Wolftever ramp. Our fishing started off as usual with her catching the biggest crappie while I was catching dinks. Grin

But, the worm turned and I got the most numbers along with a couple of nice keeper sized fish. We released all fish today. After my initial turn at the wheel, I told her that she had to guide today and that I wasn’t going to think or suggest anything, but I did suggest one or two places and Candi got in some good practice running the trolling motor on offshore structure.

it was windy and the lake temp is coming down. It was 81.7 today and has steadily declined this week. It won’t be long before the bait fish and crappie begin their fall migration to the shallow water.

The student becomes the guide, how cool is that. Boat looks nice and comfortable, equipped for sun, wind and rough water.
