Now it gets spendy. Congrats and good luck.
I've been reading a lot about trolling crankbaits for summer crappie, so I got myself some rod holders and some Bandit 300s and Arkie 350s and gave it a shot. What a blast! And the size of them! This was my first crappie trip where every catch was a keeper. I guess the dinks don't mess around with big crankbaits.
Found them between 17-22 fow, and all of the action came before 9am. Bandit 300 chartreuse with red stripes (I think it's called "spring craw") was the hot color. I only had 4 colors though, I'll need to add to my arsenal now.
Now that I know it works, I can't wait to get some family and friends out and show them a good time. Thanks to this forum for the idea and reports that got me out to try it!

Thanks, I am definitely hooked. I tried showing my son the 4 best, but he was more interested in the ruler. Hopefully next summer he'll be fishing with me.

Those are some nice Slabs, looks to be both blacks and whites. Cranks will get them both! It won’t be long and he will be right there with you catching fish.
