IMHO ..... Yes & yes.

You'll be about a 20min drive from Island Cove Marina on the Southern end of Lake Chickamauga (or The Chick, as the locals know it).

I'll defer further info to those that fish the lake, as I've never fished The Chick ... just the lake above it, Watts Bar.

I would keep it

You'll be 2 lakes up from me on the TN river. I've never fished Chickamauga but that boat would be great on Guntersville. I see Carolina skiffs or similar quite often out on the lake. Of course, now that you'll be an inland fisherman, you'll have to put some spiderrig rod holders on it.

Bass fishing is big business on Guntersville and probably Chickamauga too, so if you want to fit in with those guys, you'll need to sell the skiff and buy a boat that will run 75mph and cost twice as much as a new truck.

That boat would be great for our lakes in TN, I see more and more of the skiff type boats. The no carpet thing is gaining popularity with many of the new boats having a rubberized type carpet option now. Wait until early spring and see how many flat bottom aluminum boats you see in our great state, they are more than adequate and your boat will be also.

That boat will fit in just fine. Might work better when the wind kicks up and makes it nasty. My vote is to keep it.
